Painting for Bisque

By on January 8, 2016 in Build with 0 Comments

boxer_paintNow painting the boxer for bisque firing. I’ll be entering this work in next weeks application to the figurative show at the Claymaker gallery. This will be my first full figure work. The challenges around this are related to the size of the kiln and getting the arms right. As a two piece work, the top half of the torso (belt up) includes the arms, and arms are surprising long. If I wish to continue doing full figure works I’m going to need to figure out a new way to engineer the piece for the kiln, or become and expert in epoxies.
