Side two Mountain

m2_medThis side appears to have melted a little less into the underlying clay and shows almost no cone 6 glaze.  Not certain why perhaps this side of the sculpt was positioned away from the coils of the kiln? More layering between the surface pattern and the clay? Not sure. Here is, however, a breakdown as I remember it of the process. Layer 1 electric blue, bisque fire, underglazes applied to slip transfers. Three different colors applied. Some creative application of the darker underglaze for painterly effect> then bisque again. Final firing with spotty cone 6 glaze applied.
